Started as an engineer who loved building things. Went to MIT because that's where you go to learn how systems really work. Quickly realized the hardest problems aren't technical — they're about people and process.
The Product Years
Apple taught me that great technology is about the user, not the engineer. Learned to ship products that people actually want to use. Product management is just engineering for humans.
The Scaling Years
Built and scaled technical teams. Learned that the right architecture decisions matter more than perfect code. Systems that don't scale with the business are technical debt waiting to happen.
The Founder Years
Founded companies, raised capital, built products from zero to millions of users. Learned that great technology without great execution is just expensive hobby projects.
The AI Years
AI isn't magic — it's just really good pattern matching. The companies winning with AI aren't the ones with the fanciest models. They're the ones who understand their processes well enough to automate them intelligently.

Process before automation
Automating a bad process just gives you automated bad results. Figure out what works manually first, then make it faster.
Build for the team you have, not the team you want
Elegant code that nobody understands is technical debt. Simple solutions that your team can maintain are almost always better than clever ones.
Speed matters more than perfection
Perfect solutions to yesterday's problems are worthless. Better to ship something good today than something perfect next quarter.
